Spent two days scraping windows and repainting them. Painted floor and walls. Scrubbed mildew off walls and then painted over w/exterior latex (Autumn Gold). All of the windows now are functional. At least 3 had been painted shut.

Problem persists. Called MI Bell again, they sent someone out in late afternoon who found damaged + exposed cable in the parking area near the gate. He spliced it out + made arrangements to hone the entire cable from the gate to the cabin replaced.

At 1st MI Bell could find no problem with line, then they fried again + did find problems. They sent a repairman (E.R.) who checked the cable + found damage. Someone else spliced out a bad section of the cable near the telephone pole on Liberty Rd.

Replaced old STIHL chainsaw powerhouse (032 AV) with an equivalent newer model (034 AV). I had taken the old saw into A2 implement for repair because I couldn't start the engine. It appears that someone in the past had dropped a washer into the powerhouse + failed to [writing unclear] it. The washer eventually worked its way into the piston area + sheared off the piston head, causing an estimated $400.00 for replac in damage - which is nearly as much as the new saw. Therefore SNR decided it was better to replace the old saw rather than repair it. The cause of all the [writing unclear] was due to simple carelesness [sic] + was easily preventable.; however, the fact that the saw that had passed through the hands of 10-15 caretakers during the past 20 years made it unlikely that it was going to receive consistently optimal care.
Before I relinquish my duties as caretaker I am going to prepare a list detailing what is necessary for the proper use + maintenance of the chainsaw.
